Ten miles. That's what's on this 2024 Multistrada V2 S in Ducati Red, and it's the last of the Testastretta-engined V2 S models we have as a new bike. Priced at $19,295.
The 2024 V2 S runs the 937 cc Testastretta 11° L-twin, a desmodromic four-valve engine with 113 hp at 9,000 rpm and 71 lb-ft at 7,750 rpm. It's mounted in a tubular steel trellis frame with an aluminum double-sided swingarm, and it rolls on a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear on Pirelli Scorpion Trail II tires.
What separates the S from the base V2 of that generation is the suspension: a 48 mm fork and monoshock with electronic damping and preload adjustment through Ducati Skyhook Suspension Evo, with 6.7 inches of travel at both ends. Brakes are Brembo monobloc four-piston calipers on 320 mm discs with Cornering ABS. Riding modes are Sport, Touring, Urban, and Enduro with power modes, traction control, cornering lights, Vehicle Hold Control, and a 5-inch TFT. The up/down quickshifter, cruise control, hands-free ignition, backlit switches, and self-cancelling turn signals are standard.
Seat height is 32.7 inches, with a 31.9-inch low seat available and a 31.1-inch option when combined with the low suspension kit. The tank holds 5.3 gallons, and wet weight without fuel is 485 lb. The Testastretta's valve check interval is 18,000 miles, with oil changes every 9,000.
The desmo twin has a character the new engine doesn't try to replicate, and for some riders that's the whole point. This one is new, warrantied, and on the floor at MotoCorsa in Portland.
