Aviator Grey was the color to have on the first-year Multistrada V4 S, and this 2021 example with 6,611 miles is a good reminder of why. Priced at $18,490.
2021 was the year the Multistrada went from an L-twin to the V4 Granturismo, a 1,158 cc 90-degree V4 with a counter-rotating crankshaft and spring valves rather than desmodromic ones. Output is 170 hp at 10,500 rpm and 125 Nm at 8,750 rpm. The move to spring valves is why the valve check interval jumped to 37,000 miles, and the rear-bank deactivation at idle keeps the heat off your legs in traffic.
The S model brought Ducati Skyhook semi-active suspension with Auto-leveling at both ends, Brembo Stylema calipers, Cornering ABS, cornering traction control, wheelie control, cornering lights, and Vehicle Hold Control. The 6.5-inch TFT with navigation, up/down quickshifter, cruise control, hands-free ignition, and backlit switches were all standard. The 2021 V4 S was also the first production motorcycle offered with front and rear radar for Adaptive Cruise Control and Blind Spot Detection. We'll confirm which factory packages this unit was built with.
The 5.8-gallon tank, the 19-inch front wheel, and the aluminum monocoque frame define the platform, and a double-sided swingarm means it can take spoked wheels if you ever want them.
Seat height is adjustable, with low and high seat options available, and the Skyhook system means you can dial in preload for a passenger and luggage from the dash rather than with a wrench. At 6,611 miles, this is a bike that's been used but not used up. Come see it at MotoCorsa in Portland and we'll show you the service records.
